Valentin Nikolayev is an internationally renowned figure
skating coach who has conducted over 100 international seminars for other
coaches from around the world. He is the former Head Coach of the famous Odessa
Special Children’s Youth Figure Skating School of Olympic Reserve, a Ukrainian
organization with over 25 years of figure skating history that has produced many
successful Olympic competitors. Countries such as Germany and Israel have
retained Mr. Nikolayev to work with the coaches of their national figure skating
teams.
Skaters personally coached by Mr. Nikolayev in recent years
have earned an impressive 2 Olympic Gold Medals, 2 World Gold Medals, 11 Silver
and Bronze World Medals, 4 World Junior Championship Gold Medals, and 4 European
Championship Gold Medals. Viktor Petrenko and Oskana Baiul are only a couple of
the better known figure skaters coached by Mr. Nikolayev.
